Ok, so in a showdown of Red Sox legends last night, José Iglesias got the better of Joe Kelly and drew a ten-pitch walk, but before that, we got a nice strikeout from our guy and, look, his numbers are just so good let’s look at his numbers:

He’s projected to end with 0.6 fWAR, which would tie his 2018 mark, when he made 73 appearances. His ERA’s the best since 2017, and the second-best of any 11-plus inning relief season. His xERA’s his second-best of the Statcast era (started in ’15). His FIP’s his best ever. His strikeout rate’s right up there with 2016 and 2019 for his best ever. His walk rate’s his best ever.
