Yet that is just what Joe Kelly has done. And he’s needed only nine innings to do it.
Yes, with last night’s dominant performance (came in with a runner on first, induced a lineout and a single in which the runner—who had stolen second—was thrown out at home), Kelly now has a perfect ERA on the season, on a scale of 1 to 10.
Amazing, and somewhat sad that he isn’t getting the credit he’s due.
