It’s Joe Kelly playoff time, friends. And if you’ll remember the last time we saw Joe Kelly in the playoffs, he threw a brilliant ninth inning before absolutely nothing of note happened in the tenth. It should be remembered, of course, that Joe Kelly was dealing with a lower body issue at the time of that, which makes that ninth inning all the more impressive. Had he been fully healthy? The man may have never allowed a baserunner, kind of like how he shoved in 2018 and singlehandedly won Boston the most important championship of its hundred-plus year history as a sports town.
