Joe Kelly and that War Criminal Rob Manfred Are on a Collision Course

“It doesn’t live on clothes on the butt.”
-Joe Kelly, on the coronavirus

Ok, sorry, had to get that out of the way. What a line. Here’s the full rundown of the full interview, in case you’re looking. But basically, Joe Kelly pointed out that, believe it or not, the Rob Manfred-led MLB claimed to have a secure, coronavirus-free zone during the playoffs, and it was, believe it or not, insecure. Sparknotes are that the Dodgers were put up in a hotel that had a golf course, and the players weren’t allowed to play golf but golfers kept coming right up to the windows and other folks staying at the hotel (MLB folks, we assume) were playing golf themselves, presumably interacting with the outside world.

With this on the heels of some questionable suspending (and shadow suspending?) of the star, it’s looking more and more like Joe Kelly and Rob Manfred are going to have to duel. And while we don’t support Rob Manfred’s death, we do hope that the threat of a duel will make him back down from his grand plan to destroy the game he hates.
