Is the EPL Trying to Stop Burnley with Unfair Scheduling?

Burnley lost again today.

Badly.

Five-nil, in fact.

That means five to zero in American.

Anyway, I’m on to the English Premier League. They’re on to me, and they don’t want Burnley to succeed because I’ll upset UEFA by bringing my “it’s harder to make a tournament with both an upper and lower bound” philosophy to the Champions League and Europa League, rendering the former obsolete and making all that money Man City spent meaningless (look at me, knowing things about soccer [would be pretty funny if this was off and I just got the wrong idea from Twitter these last few months]).

Let’s take a look at some numbers:

November 9th-23rd

Fifteen days.
Two EPL matches for Burnley.
Burnley wins each, six goals for, zero against.

November 30th-December 7th

Eight days.
Three EPL matches for Burnley.
Burnley loses all three, one goal for, eleven against.

Do you see what is happening?

The EPL is scheduling more matches at times when Burnley is playing badly.

And it will not stand.

Yes, English Premier League, consider yourself on notice. As I said, I’m onto you, and Burnley is going to be in the Europa League race whether you like it or not (I hope—don’t really know, though).
