SHSU is not expected to be a factor in the Southland, and the Southland is one of the worst conferences in Division I basketball this year. The Bearkats’ 3-4 record is built off three wins against non-D-I programs, and there’s little the team does well, besides maaaaybe forcing turnovers. They’ll run. They’ll gun. They’ll sometimes be fun. But if Texas does its job, not tonight.
Will be interesting to see how much Brock Cunningham plays. The word was that he would’ve been available on Sunday had the game happened, but “chest contusion” makes it sound like a pretty bad bruise, and this is not as big a game as the one against Baylor would’ve been.
