IndyCar Takes to the Streets

Gonna try to watch until Talladega starts. Wish me luck.

Where It Is

St. Petersburg, Florida. The second-largest city in the Tampa Bay metro. The track is allegedly on some city streets and an airport runway, which sounds cool to me, especially if this is like a video game and there’s airplanes taking off and landing midrace.

When It Is

Green flag at 12:42 PM EDT, I’m told (it is really nice to have Jeff Gluck back from paternity leave so I know what’s going on in motorsports).

How to Watch

NBC

Who to Watch

I’m having a terrible time finding IndyCar odds. Is IndyCar dead?

Anyway, according to this tweet, DraftKings has Josef Newgarden as the favorite at +275, polesitter Colton Herta at +300, Patricio O’Ward at +800, Simon Pagenaud at +800, Scott Dixon at +1000, Sébastien Bourdais at +1200, Jack Harvey at +1200, last week’s winner Álex Palou at +1800, Alexander Rossi at +1800, Will Power at +2200, and Rinus VeeKay at +2200.

Goodness.

That was harder than it should’ve been.
