IndyCar Takes on California

The penultimate race of the IndyCar season. And what a season it’s been. It seems like just yesterday I turned on that race in St. Petersburg, got confused, and left the room a few minutes later because I was worried my dog was about to pee on the kitchen mat.

Welcome to Laguna Seca, friends. She ain’t peeing on the mat no more.

Where It Is

Laguna Seca, which for those not in the know (yet), is near Monterey, California, which is in turn basically near San Francisco. That’s your grounding point here.

When It Is

Hell if I know (ok I looked it’s at 3:00 PM EDT).

How to Watch

Who to Watch

Álex Palou could clinch the championship today. He enters leading Pato O’Ward by 25 points. Palou’s at 5-to-1 to win. O’Ward is at 19-to-2. Colton Herta’s the favorite at 11-to-4, while Alexander Rossi and Will Power should also be in the mix, at 7-to-2 and 6-to-1 respectively.
