First, the thoughts on yesterday’s race, then, the rundown for today’s race.
1. Is Marcus Ericsson the future of IndyCar?
Whenever someone wins a race whose name we don’t recognize (which is most IndyCar drivers), we have to ask the question. He’s thirty years old. He ran F1 for a while. But hey, if Hélio Castroneves can win the Indy 500 in his 40’s, that gives this guy more than a decade to be the face of the sport. We’ll keep an eye on him for future power rankings.
2. How did Felix Rosenqvist’s throttle get stuck holy cow that is scary.
Yikes yikes yikes yikes yikes. Glad he’s ok. Glad there were all those tires there. Nuts.
3. When do we start looking at the standings?
I haven’t started yet.
4. Beef???

Who to Watch
Ericsson goes for the sweep, Josef Newgarden’s on the pole, not sure who the favorite is but I’d imagine it’s Newgarden or Scott Dixon?

Since we mentioned it in the IndyCar post yesterday, wanted to follow up here. Sounds like it was fun. Will have to try to remember to follow it more closely next week. Doug Coby, the local dude and a Whelen legend, won it.
