  • Bailey Zappe is 23 years old.
  • Trey Lance is 22 years old.

Some observations on these:

The mean age is 29, the median age is 28. This means Baker Mayfield is on the young side, Jimmy Garoppolo is on the old side, and Marcus Mariota is about average in age.

Trey Lance being younger than everybody is easy to forget. The guy’s two years younger than Kenny Pickett.

Tom Brady is so much older than everyone else. The gap between him and Aaron Rodgers is the same as the one from Matthew Stafford to Mitch Trubisky.

There are more 24 year-old quarterbacks of note than any other age, and all six of them are first-stringers by design, not necessity.

Joe Burrow is older than Lamar Jackson despite Jackson entering the league two years earlier. I don’t know how this (or the same thing with Lance and Pickett) affects how finished or unfinished a product each is, but it can’t be meaningless.
