Ok, so I looked it up and it isn’t actually that much faster, but suspending disappointing physics findings for a minute, think of how fast Jacob deGrom could throw a baseball on the moon. Wow. Even with the disappointing physics findings unsuspended, that dude’s throwing the ball 110+ mph in his specially designed astronaut suit that allows him to survive on a rock without atmosphere while maintaining the mobility necessary to throw baseballs in his normal fashion. Of course, his pitches aren’t moving worth shit up there, but 110 mph? I’m not sure that’s hittable, even with bat speed unhindered by drag itself. And with the moon’s lower gravity, talk about rise. Woof.
