Last week, Norwich City stepped into the Disco Inferno, getting wrecked by Burnley at Turf Moor (that’s where Burnley plays—look at me knowing things). This week, the Clarets bring the Inferno on the road, to a little team called Aston Villa.
More like Ass-ton Villa.
Homophonous jokes aside, the Astonites are near last place in the table (that’s British for “standings”), in grave danger of being sent right back where they came from (that’s the Championship League). Burnley isn’t “favored” in this one, but they’re favored to at least get a point, and road points seem to be good things, from what I can tell. A win would push Ashley Barnes & Co. up into the thick of the race for a spot in the Europa League.
It’s a big day for #BritainsTeam. It’s a big day for all of us. It’s a big day for Bertie.
Buzz, Bertie. Buzz.
Burn, baby. Burn(ley).
