Other notes:

Loyola (projected three-seed) is making an early case for our hearts. We knew Sister Jean was holding on for something.
Big come-up for Dayton (projected one-seed) after a swing and a miss last year.
Furman (projected five-seed) tries to build an appearance streak.
No Nebraska, which is bad news for their streak.
On the other side, Texas is a long way out of it, so that’s no fun. More on them tomorrow.
If this NIT gets canceled I’m not sure how I’m going to react but it won’t be happiness, so wear your masks and vaccinate your vaccinatable parts and get the NIT logo tattooed on your heart so you never forget.
