The puppy is very good at making friends. She does this by forcing everyone she meets into a binary decision: Do they react with perturbance or laughter when she launches her 65-pound-and-growing body at them, swinging around on her taut leash with her arms outstretched like a trapezist, tail wagging at a zillion revolutions per minute?
Anyway, one of her many allies in the neighborhood always wears an Air Force basketball hat, so today I asked him about it, and it turns out his son used to work there. Now, he works in the Iona program. Works with Rick Pitino. I know a guy whose kid works with Rick Pitino.
Or rather, my puppy does.
Should I tell him about the David Padgett theory?
