FA Cup. The F Doesn’t Stand for Fulham but That’s Who Burnley Plays.

Well, well, well.

Whom:

Burnley @ Fulham

What:

FA Cup, Fourth Round Proper (the one with 32 teams in it)

Where:

Fulham. Which is in London.

When:

8:30 AM American Central Standard Time

How to Watch:

Looks like it’s on ESPN+. So that’s a bummer. Paywall city population us am I right?

What’s at Stake:

A trip to the FA Cup’s Fifth Round Proper, which has 16 teams in it (the winner of the FA Cup gets to play in the Europa League the odds are longer than long but these are high stakes, guys).

The Odds:

I’m seeing Burnley as a +120 underdog to advance, but Fulham’s a -165 favorite so the vig’s big. Basically Burnley advancing is somewhere in the 40%-45% range of probable, according to the market. Evidently they didn’t hear about the Liverpool result. *emoji wearing sunglasses*

Burnley News:

Both sides are expected to rest some key guys, but it sounds like Burnley’s without at least Charlie Taylor (hurt again) and Robbie Brady (unclear—Burnley’s writeup just says he’s “unlikely to figure”).

Bertie News:

He’s playing Bingo! Doesn’t seem like he knows how to play (Exercise? What is this shit?) but we’re just happy to see him in action.
