Can’t Keep a Good Sen Down

That’s more like it.

The Final:

Senators 4, Maple Leafs 3

How It Happened:

Sens went up 2-0. Sens went up 4-1. Sens gave up two goals in the last five and a half minutes but survived.

Drake Batherson scored twice. Joey Daccord performed well in goal after Matt Murray got hurt in warmups. Tim Stützle had a filthy assist on one of the Batherson goals.

Any Fights?

Zach Bogosian picked one with Austin Watson. Didn’t see a good view of the meat of it, but Watson ended up on top.

Standings:

Not really in playoff reach, or even much reach of sixth place, but it isn’t so far away as to feel completely impossible, at least to me, in my first year of following the NHL in any fashion.
