Sens are back again.
Whom:
Senators vs. Montreal Canadiens
Where:
Ottawa. The Canadian Tire Centre. And speaking of Canadian Tire, the business was recently named the most reputable company in commerce by somebody in Canada. The obvious implication here is that sponsoring the arena of the NHL’s most up-and-coming franchise does a lot for one’s reputation.
When:
6:00 PM Central Daylight Time
Television:
Nothing American.
The Odds:
Sens at +175 to win. I’m curious how teams respond to Covid layoffs of their own. That’s the situation for the Canadiens.
Senators News:
Christian Wolanin cleared waivers while we were gone, then was traded to the Los Angeles Kings for Mike Amadio. I did not know Amadio existed. I also didn’t realize Wolanin was so far out of the rotation. Hockey happens fast.
In other things I don’t understand, four Senators prospects played for North Dakota this year, and North Dakota was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament (I can say that here because we’re talking hockey, not basketball) in a five-overtime heartbreaker against Minnesota-Duluth. So that’s news. To be clear, I understand the North Dakota losing part. I just don’t understand how hockey prospects playing in the college game works. That is unique. Wonder if baseball might try it as Rob Manfred attempts to kill the minor leagues and other sources of joy.
