Still no Sean Dyche extension announcement, but hey—that doesn’t mean it isn’t imminent (*doesn’t sleep for another nine straight nights*).
Internationals
I missed that Maxwel Cornet would be playing for the Ivory Coast national team during this spell. He was on the pitch for his country’s 2-1 victory over Cameroon that pushed them to the top of their group in the CAF World Cup qualifiers, in which winning one’s group is how one advances to the final round of qualification.
On the European side, Connor Roberts wasn’t active and Wayne Hennessey didn’t play as Wales pulled off a late win over Belarus on Sunday. Nick Pope got another day off as England whooped Andorra. Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson wasn’t active for Iceland in their 2-2 draw with North Macedonia. Matěj Vydra got the start for the Czech Republic against Belgium but couldn’t get one in the net, with his country falling 3-0. Bailey Peacock-Farrell was in there for a bit in Northern Ireland’s friendly win over Estonia.

Burnley FC Women
The women’s team beat Huddersfield Town on Sunday, 4-0, climbing to the middle of their table.
Partner Clubs
Cobh Ramblers (Ireland, second tier) lost 3-0 to Treaty United on Friday and remain ninth in the ten-team table, from which I don’t believe there’s relegation (last place isn’t much of a risk—they have more than double the points of the next team down).
Ayr United (Scotland, second tier) hosts Raith today in Ayr’s return from a coronavirus outbreak. It’s a league match.
Portadown (Northern Ireland, first tier) lost to Larne on Saturday, 3-2. They’re currently tenth in the twelve-team table, but the two teams behind them have yet to play whereas Portadown has played thrice.
Llandudno (Wales, second tier) fell to Broughton on Friday in the Welsh Cup. They’ll play today at home against Gresford Athletic in a league match.
