Burnley Dominates the Humans

Burnley, Burnley, Burnley.

Winners.

The Result:

Burnley 2, Humans (that’s Wolverhampton, definitely not calling them wolves after that performance) 1.

How It Happened:

Better team won. Beautiful cross by Charlie Taylor landed in the net off Ashley Barnes’s noggin, and Chris Wood put in the distancer before a penalty kick salvaged Wolverhampton something from a thorough beating at Turf Moor.

What It Means:

The lads are up to 16th (!!) in the table, passing Brighton with the three points. Now, Burnley’s natural rival Arsenal is just one point ahead, and the relegation probability, per FiveThirtyEight, is down to 26% (and that doesn’t account for vibes!). The Burnleys are rocking. Rock on, Burnleys.

What’s Next:

The favorable stretch continues with a visit to Leeds on Sunday. The Lord’s day. And no that doesn’t mean Sean Dyche but I’m beginning to wonder.

Other News:

Matěj Vydra wasn’t on the roster for the match, and it wasn’t clear why, and the people were not pleased. Keep an eye on that one.

General Thoughts:

Thinking about eating a ton of crackers and then going for a little walk in the cool night air. Pretty excited about it.
