Bologna Cars, and I’m Not Talking Oscar Mayer

Realistically, I am not going to wake up and be done with the morning blog chores in time to watch this race with any sort of attentiveness. Get ‘em next time, I guess.

Where It Is

It’s the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, man. Obviously, it’s at the Autodroma Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola Italy, a short ways east of Bologna.

When It Is

9:00 AM EDT. No, that’s not crazy early in Texas, but I’m trying to get more sleep. My patience is getting a little short. Fargo wouldn’t stop biting me trying to play on Friday and I spiked this nylabone thing she likes on the ground and it caterwauled across the room and took out a potted plant. Cleaned it up. Plant was fine. But I need a bit more sleep. Also I just looked up the definition of caterwaul and that did not mean what I thought it meant. The nylabone didn’t caterwaul. It just spun and shit.

How to Watch

ESPN (in confirming this, I found out there’s powerboat racing on FS1 at 8:00 AM, so yeah, sorry guys, really low chance I watch this week—I do want to get into it still, though. I’m taking the time to write this post.)

Who to Watch

Well, Lewis Hamilton’s the one who’s really good, and I’ve been told I should like Lando Norris (who evidently got his qualifying time deleted because of track limits…which I think is about not cutting corners??). So those guys. Also that Verstappen dude almost beat Hamilton in the last race, so let’s keep an eye on him. And then I’m seeing Sergio Pérez also in the mix in the odds. He’s at +500 and Verstappen’s at +175 and Hamilton’sat -110, so fairly likely it’ll be one of those three, but who knows! Certainly not me.
