Bing Loves the NIT

We’ve been working on our SEO here at The Barking Crow. As you’ve heard if you’re watching NITeatime, we want to get our NIT Bracketology on the first page of Google’s results for a search of “NIT Bracketology,” for the sake of NIT fans everywhere who want, and need, to be informed. We’ve come close, but haven’t yet pulled it off, and right now, that first page only has a couple links that have anything to do with the 2020 NIT, with even fewer as current as ours.

This is sad for NIT fans. Already feeling cast aside by the media, they’re hearing from big tech that building an algorithm that finds the best NIT Bracketology and makes it easily accessible is a priority too low. Many don’t even click past the first page of results at all, judging by our pageview count.

Thankfully, there’s someone in our corner. And by extension, the NIT’s corner.

That’s right.

The big man.

The guy who runs the show.

Bill Gates loves the NIT enough that he made Bing an NIT fan. That or Bing is sentient and is one of the good killer robots.

Yes, while Google’s up to who knows what over there in “California,” Bing’s here in our hearts, giving the people what they want:

Look at that. Fourth on the list. Behind images (who doesn’t like to scroll through some of those old brackets now and then), an old bracket (who doesn’t like to scroll through that one old bracket now and then), and some other NIT Bracketology that we’ve censored because it implies the superiority of a clearly inferior tournament we will not name here.

And to think. We never would have known had the bird not said “Hey, you think of checking Bing?” when I was sad earlier because our bracketology had dropped a few spots on Google.

Thanks, Bill Gates.
