Bangers IV: First Round Voting, Part Two

We continue.

Voting is open for the second half of the first round of Bangers IV. We move through the final 32 of the 64 bangers in the field, the regions led by Mr. Brightside and Call Me Maybe.

Again, our one rule here is to be cool when it comes to voting, which basically means: Don’t spam the votes. If you’re wondering if you’re breaking the rule, you’re probably breaking it, and we’ll probably end up canceling out your votes and holding a vague suspicion surrounding someone, either you or an innocent.

Thoughts on the bracket below, but before those:

Here’s the link to our Instagram, where voting is live in our stories.

Here’s the link to the Google Form, for those not on the Gram.

Voting will be open on Instagram until the stories expire, and votes on the Google Form will be accepted if they’re submitted prior to Saturday, April 15th at 9:00 AM EDT.

Full first round results will be posted either this weekend or on Monday.

Today is a big one for the question, “Is it a banger?” There are some great songs in here, and a lot of them are bangers, but a few—a few of the best songs, I’d even say—might not exactly be “bangers.” That piece is tough.

Beyond that and my own irrational fear that people won’t remember My Own Worst Enemy or how great it is, the big thing for today is that “1985” was released in 2004, 19 years ago. 19 years before that? It was 1985. The world turns.

Thanks for the votes so far. At the latest, you’ll be hearing from us Monday for the start of the second round. Check this space.
