Bangers III: Unveiling the Bracket

First, terrible news. Kesha’s TiK ToK was released in 2009. That must have slipped through our cracks last year, and I have a new biggest regret in life. Keep an eye out next year for Bangers IV, which might have to be songs we’ve missed.

Now, the bracket for Bangers III:

A few notes:

  • We seeded the field based on each song’s score from Thursday and Friday’s voting, awarding two points for every “Banger” designation, one point for ever “Solid” designation, and negative one point for ever “Nah” designation. We then assigned the songs in quadrants such that no artist would have more than one song in any given quadrant.
  • Quadrants were named for the four artists who put the most work in the bracket, with the tie going to Avicii among those with three songs since he had the top overall seed.
  • Voting will begin tomorrow morning. We’ll vote on the first round matchups in the Avicii and Katy Perry quadrants before moving on to the Kesha and Taylor Swift quadrants on Wednesday.
  • For those on Spotify: We’ve made a playlist of these 64 songs in the order they’re found in the bracket. That playlist can be found here. If anyone would like to make a similar playlist on another streaming service, please do so! If you do, please let us know so we can share the link.
