And on the Second NITe…

What a first night it was. Toledo fell apart under the bright lights in Denton. Western Kentucky rose to the occasion in Frisco. Most of our bracket challenge entrants missed at least one of those games.

Tonight, we’ve got two more for you. And they’re good ones.

Davidson vs. NC State
7:00 PM EDT, ESPN

What are these two schools from North Carolina doing in Texas? To answer that question, you’d need to start with the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

That would take a while. So we will not do that.

This is three-point shooting (Davidson) against Kevin Keatts’s attempt to fulfill his destiny (in our second-ever blog post we pegged him as a guy to make an NIT run in 2018, which didn’t happen, but better late than never).

Boise State vs. SMU
9:00 PM EDT, ESPN

Both teams are banged up. SMU might have some sort of hometown advantage. Nobody knows what to expect. There is so little to say about this because nobody knows what to expect. Real wildcard.

Enjoy tonight’s action, friends. And remember: There’s only one worldwide leader in sports. So if you want to watch college basketball tonight, turn on ESPN.
