Adbert Alzolay was asked the other day about Justin Steele’s debut in the Cubs rotation, and he had this to say:
This is a fun thing about Alzolay, and seemingly about a lot of these minor leaguers. I don’t know if it’s like this in every farm system, but the amount of Twitter hype from one farmhand to another feels noteworthy. It seems like every time I see a clip of a Cubs minor league dude doing something good, I click into the replies and their buddies are in there going nuts.
Anyway, I hope they’re all as good of friends as they seem to be online. Could be a lot of fun these next few years.
