Today’s Best Bets: Villanova Isn’t That Not Good

Another good day yesterday. That can be dangerous. We’ll keep the units small.

NY Giants at New England

Seven’s a lot of points. The Patriots are good, but they’re not juggernauts. The Giants have been a tough out and seem to be avoiding the usual quit you see from 2–10 teams. We’ll take New York.

Pick: NY Giants +7 (–110). 1.14 units to win 1.04.

Temple at Villanova

Villanova isn’t as good as the optimists are saying. But they’re a lot better than Temple, and Kyle Neptune isn’t there anymore to turn Big Five games into issues. Give us the Wildcats.

Pick: Villanova –13 (–110). 1.14 units to win 1.04.

I am only roughly 90% confident in these numbers. At some point we’ll get that Google Sheet up which tracks all our bets this year.

2025–26: –534.00 units (started with 1,000-unit bankroll)

2025–26: –7% average ROI (weighted by unit; sample size: 986 single-game markets plus four completed futures portfolios)

Pre-2025: 0% average ROI (worse when limited to only sports)

Units taken from best odds we can find at major sportsbooks available to most Americans.

These bets are not investment advice. If you’re worried you or someone you know might have a gambling addiction, call 1-800-GAMBLER for free, confidential help.
