We keep getting our butts kicked in daily markets, last night courtesy of that eighth-inning Diamondbacks grand slam. But, with UC Irvine and Chattanooga both making the NIT Championship, we’re at least going to make some units on our college basketball futures.
Here’s what we’re in on today.
ALCS
The Mariners have been in the mix for a while, and the AL West is more open this year than usual. Solid value today on Seattle.
Pick: Seattle to win +1100. 2.00 units to win 22.00.
NL East
With Atlanta scuffling and markets really high on the Mets, we might be seeing a lot of good Phillies value over the next couple weeks. Something to keep an eye on once we start deepening our portfolio in addition to broadening it.
Pick: Philadelphia to win +195. 2.00 units to win 3.90.
Chicago (NL) at Sacramento
Jeffrey Springs has a 3.58 career FIP over more than 300 innings. He’s an injury liability, and he’s aging, but when he’s healthy, he’s good. Jameson Taillon is a year older, has a worse career FIP, and made a rough season debut (while Springs shined). You can turn home-field advantage all the way down and there’s still value on the A’s at this price.
Pick: Sacramento to win –116. 15.00 units to win 12.93. (Taillon and Springs must start.)
NCAA Tournament
There’s still value on Houston, at least in our opinion. With this placed, they’re now our top option. Which might mean a pivot back to Auburn tomorrow. The market will decide.
Pick: Houston to win +475. 1.00 unit to win 4.75.

I am only roughly 90% confident in these numbers. We’ll get that Google Sheet up soon which tracks all our bets this year.
2025: –305.87 units (started with 1,000-unit bankroll)
2025: –10% average ROI (weighted by unit; sample size: 243 single-game markets plus one half-completed futures portfolio)
Pre-2025: 0% average ROI (worse when limited to only sports)
Units taken from best odds we can find at major sportsbooks available to most Americans.
