The Pirates are 0.5% likely to make the playoffs. One in 200! There’s a chance! No chance for these guys, though (FanGraphs only rounds to the nearest tenth of a percent with these, so when I say the following teams don’t have a chance, that just means their chance is less than one in a thousand):
- The Baltimore Orioles
- The Colorado Rockies
Anyway, just a little reminder that we already know two teams are pretty much done, and it’s not yet the end of April. Not necessarily good or bad, but a thing about baseball, its shifts in terms of franchise-building, and our improved understanding of all of that the last few decades.
