Selection Sunday is upon us, or nearly upon us, depending when and where you’re reading this. Here’s what’s happening out there, as well as what’s happening here at The Barking Crow:
The Schedule

- 12:00 PM EDT: Games Begin
- ~5:45 PM EDT: Games End
- ~5:46 PM EDT: Final NCAA Tournament Bracketology and Almost-Final NIT Rundown Posted
- 6:00 PM EDT: NCAA Tournament Selection Show (CBS)
- ~7:30 PM EDT: Final NIT Bracketology and Rundown Posted
- 10:00 PM EDT: NIT Selection Show (ESPNU)
- ~11:00 PM EDT: NIT Bracket Challenge Open to Contestants
There are still five conference tournament games to be played, and there’ll be some bracket impact there. Joe will have details on that impact in the morning. Because there’s impact, we’ll be posting bracketologies and bubble rundowns at three separate points in the day:
The first will be our standard morning bracketology, accounting for today’s results.
The second will be our final NCAA Tournament bracketology, accounting for who won in the Ivy League and Atlantic 10.
The third will be our final NIT bracketology, accounting for who made the NCAA Tournament and who earned the four NIT 1-seeds.
The bracketologies will be updated on their individual pages. The rundowns will be published as blog posts, available on our homepage.
The Server
We expect this to be our biggest day of site traffic in history, possibly four times as busy as today, our previous all-time high. We don’t think this will cause any issues with our servers, but we’re in unprecedented territory, so:

The Sentimentality
It’s been a really fun college basketball season so far, and these last few weeks have been especially rewarding for The Barking Crow. We’re having a lot of fun. It seems many of you are too. Thanks for having fun with us.
