The opportunities for a Big 12 win are fading. But this is a good one.

The Opponent
Iowa State almost beat TCU in Fort Worth a few weeks ago. The Horned Frogs have continued to slide since then. They do have four conference wins—they swept Oklahoma State, of all the teams—but they’re having a down year. They’re in the bottom of the barrel, down there with the Cyclones (and K-State).
The Numbers
Vegas has ISU a one-point favorite (!!) with the over/under at 141. KenPom gives the Cyclones a 50% chance to win and projects a 71-70 TCU victory.
What Iowa State Needs to Do
TCU’s perimeter defense is pretty solid, so getting to the rim is gonna be Iowa State’s best bet. Defensively, there isn’t anything too specific to focus on, but keep an eye on ISU’s ability to protect the glass at that end—it’s the biggest statistical weakness on a team full of weaknesses. In short—need to win the game at the hoop.
