Iowa State Starts a Two-Game Set with Kansas

Novel circumstances have necessitated a two-game series today and Saturday between Iowa State and Kansas. Opener tips off tonight in Lawrence.

The Game

Iowa State @ Kansas

The Time

6:00 PM Central

The Television

ESPN

The Opponent

Kansas. Down year? Sure. Still a projected five-seed entering the night.

The Numbers

Vegas has Iowa State a 15-point underdog, with the over/under at 144.5. KenPom gives the Cyclones an 11% chance to win and has the final predicted at 78-65.

What Iowa State Needs to Do

A competitive outing would be great coming off such disappointment two nights ago. To make that happen, though, Iowa State’s going to need to neutralize Kansas on the glass, especially when Kansas is trying to score. The Jayhawks aren’t the most efficient shooters, so minimizing the number of shots they put up will go a long way.

Hope for George Conditt to have a big night, and for Solomon Young to bounce back.
