I liked what Steve Prohm said yesterday about having such a quick rematch with Kansas. I like Steve Prohm. I hope this works out.

What Iowa State Needs to Do
Same story as heading into Thursday: Rebounding’s gonna be a big thing. Kansas only got eleven offensive rebounds in the first matchup, but that came on only 34 missed KU field goals, so it was a pretty futile effort from the Cyclones.
It’s unlikely Kansas will shoot that well again today. They just aren’t normally that kind of team offensively. Preventing second chances would go a long way towards keeping them in check, but there’s obviously a lot more Iowa State needs to do if they want to be competitive, on both ends of the floor. Beyond the specific focus on the defensive glass, ISU just needs to play well. In all facets of the game. There are fancier ways to say it, but that’s what you have to do.
