business time.

as you may have been told or may have surmised, i like to play. big fan of recreation. i have yet to be audited (take that, feds), but if i were, i imagine they would find that i spend upwards of eighty percent of my waking hours actively engaged in play. and the thing about play is, if you look for it, you will find it.

SCENE: a couple nights ago

i am Fargo. i am being rambunctious (redundant, i know). it is late in the evening. the female decides to take me downstairs for my nighttime wee.

THERE IS ANOTHER DOG DOWN THERE HIS NAME IS REX HE IS ALSO A BERNEDOODLE HE WEIGHS 140 POUNDS THAT IS APPROXIMATELY 2.41 FARGOS HIS PERSON SAYS THE BREEDER DOESN’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED ALL OF HIS SIBLINGS ARE 70 POUNDS THERE IS A CHANCE REX IS TWO DOGS INSIDE OF ONE BODY I HEAR NONE OF THIS BECAUSE I AM ENGAGED IN FURIOUS, FRANTIC PLAY WE ARE JUMPING WE ARE SNIFFING WE ARE SLOBBERING WE ARE COLLIDING WE ARE COLLIDING WITH HUMANS WE ARE LEAVING A BRUISE ON THE FEMALE’S LEG REX AND I ARE BEST FRIENDS I GET SCARED HERE AND THERE BUT WHEN I DO I DO MY LITTLE COWER AND SQUEAL AND REX RESPECTS THAT REX IS GIANT HOLY COW REX IS SO LARGE HOLY HECK THERE IS SO MUCH FUN YOU CAN HAVE WITH A SIX-STORY DOG

i slept well that evening.

Fargo is a dog. She is our dog.

  1. Dear Fargo. I have a dog named Rex, too. And I am Joe Kelly’s aunt, which would make my Rex his cousin (?) Rex is only 65 pounds but I bet you would be best friends. Wouldn’t that be perfect? I will send you a photo if Stu lets me.
