Baseball’s Best at the Halfway Point

We’ve been doing this every month. We’re going to keep doing it. We enjoy it.

Here’s a roster, for each league, constructed of the most productive players at each position, to-date. This isn’t necessarily an “All-Star” roster—there are pieces of stardom that are independent of how well players have played—and it isn’t the best roster each league could produce—a three-month stretch isn’t the most accurate predictor available of future performance—but it’s fun! Again, we enjoy it. Let’s give some guys some credit, using fWAR and FanGraphs’s position assignments for the sake of simplicity.
