An Update and a Thank You

Hello, friends. Just checking in to give an update on the state of the blog.

It’s been a great March, and a great NIT season so far, and we still have upwards of two weeks of NIT traffic left. At the moment, we’re about three days away from beating our growth rate (in site traffic) from the last two years, and that’s with more than nine months of 2023 remaining.

This growth rate thing is big for us, and if you like The Barking Crow’s existence, it’s big for you as well. It gets us back to being two years away from this presenting a full-time income for us, which is the eventual goal. We’re by no means declaring victory—there is so much work to be done, and so much progress to be made—but we wanted to say thanks, because our two-year goal was looking pretty wishful back around the holidays, and it’s now looking plausible again. Had this NIT season not gone as well as it will now definitely have gone, we would be looking at hard pivots in our strategies. Instead, we’re in a position to spend the coming months leaning in.

So, thank you for your support, and thank you for your interest, and thank you for making The Barking Crow look possible. We are so, so grateful, and we promise: It will only get better from here.

Bark.
